As for Zombie's Halloween, I didn't like it. The second half is too dark like you said, and it very much resembles a 90s teen slasher.

I'm assuming that the second half and the murder scenes were so dark because of limited amount of funds left? Just a assumption but it makes sense, as the first half was actually pretty interesting.

Next up I'm watching:

ZOMBIE HIGH
TORSO (thx again man!)
UNCLE SAM
DEADLY HARVEST
SHOWER OF BLOOD
STILL LIFE

Ever seen any of these my friend?

I might have seen Deadly Harvest, no recollection as to what it's about. Shower of Blood sounds familiar as well, Uncle Sam - I've seen it on dusty shelves many times haha, I guess something or someone stopped me from renting it.

I don't think Zombie ran out of funds - he simply doesn't know how to make a movie set in the present days LOL, he's good at re-creating the 70s look but that's all he's good at. Note how good the acting is up until his wife shoots herself watching home movies, and then flops when it's three decades later. Even McDowell doesn't look convincing, his grey hair does all the acting for him.

Hey man, Check out "STILL LIFE" I found the DVD at Walmart for like $3.88. Great fukkin movie/slasher about "The Art Killer" whom turns his victims into numerous art pieces. Very good movie 100%!

Yeah, I agree. Thats gotta be what it is, Zombie just doesn't know how to make modern day horror.

I really liked Zombies previous 2 films.

There's quite a few horror movies right now at the Dufferin Walmart Mall incase your interested at $3.88 each. Most of them are "BrainDead" B-Flicks.

UNCLE SAM turned out to be VERY good! Picture a slasher film with good levels of gore that seemed like it came from the 80's.

I also watched HOUSE last night hehe I haven't seen it since the 80s...what a cheeze fest!!

It's not a rip-off, it's a dvd rip as in .avi file, the movie's the real deal. House 2...from what I've heard parts 1,2,3, and 4 have nothing in common, is that true? I've only seen House 1, it was a shit fest, esp. the part where he 's in Vietnam and the 'jungle' looks like a park LOL

Gate 2 I haven't seen, but who can forget Gate 1 haha, a true Canadian classic

Tonite and perhaps tomorrow I'm gonna try to watch:

Entrails of a Virgin
REC. (new reality-style zombie flick)
American Gothic

REC-I downloaded it; I don't think it's out on dvd in US/Canada yet. It's a Spanish zombie flick about a news crew that gets stuck in a building where residents are getting infected with something and starting to bite each other. The movie clocks in at about 1:15 or so, it's short but I found it boring nevertheless. If ya want a copy, lemme know.

I haven't even heard of Traces of Death...are you sure it's not Faces of Death? I'll make ya a copy of REC, no prob...I just found out today that the Hollywood remake of REC is coming this Fall - it is called Quarantine and it's a frame-by-frame remake, with different actors.

Here is info on the Traces Of Death series : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traces_of_Death

They are completley bizzarre!!!! T.O.D. defintally blows F.O.D. away as it has death metal and grindcore bands blasting all threw it, early 90's stuff as well so of course its great music wise! I think you would have a blast watching the series man!

Thanks for the copy of REC ahead of time...I wish I had acess to burn dvds for you in exchange. But I can always trade you a Misfits bootleg instead Twisted Evil
