ANDREW PIKE! ANDREW PIKE!
Elondra Sharack! You have been found guilty of the heinous crimes against god and man, visited torture, and done murder to this innocent child, within sight of her sister!
YOUR HAVE NO RIGHT TO PASS JUDGEMENT ON ME!!!
Be silent, unless you mean to repugiate your service to unholy forces of Hell!
I AM THE DAUGHTER OF SATAN, HE IS MY LORD AND SALVATION. HE WILL PROTECT ME, HE WILL BRING YOU ALL TO DEATH.
Oh! Burn Her! Burn Her!
Be silent!
AHAHAHAHAH!
We have not the proper machinery here, to force a cleansing of this twisted soul. How can I bring myself to burn alive even one so vile as this...? Let the sentence then be drowning! So, blessed relic of Rome shall be the holy seal that holds you fast for all eternity, suspended between Hell and the release of Death. Gods mercy serve you.
AHAHAH! I HAVE NO NEED OF HIS MERCY, I AM IN THE HANDS OF SATAN!!!

It's taken me years to figure out where the sample from the start of Mortem's Superstition came from, a film called 'Superstition (The Witch)', an old (and very BAD!!!) Canadian film from the start of the 80's.

But what's the best use of film samples in the Metal world? Has the lack of decent horror film in recent years led to a decline in sampling? What film are the samples from Verminous' album from?

No idea...

Samples I really like : Carcass Necroticism and Cryptopsy Blasphemy Made Flesh. I have no clue where they're from, but I'm not a big fan of horror movies in general

i love film samples (especially horror) in music. adds great atmosphere and can really make a song even better than the sum of its parts.

my band samples I Drink Your Blood and Creepshow on two of our newer songs (i've been waiting to use the IDYB clip forever). Splatterhouse uses a great Night of the Creeps clip on one of their songs from "The House that Dead Built" album...

"Well...i've got good news and bad news girls...The good news is your dates are here."
"What's the bad news?"
"They're dead..."
