Hail Immortal fans !

We have very sad news for you. After 19 years of existence and 7 years of waiting for the new album "All Shall Fall" Immortal finally give us a formatted album of pop/thrash/non-black metal, a shame for the great sons of northern DARKNESS. Immortal has sold their name to the musical industry and try to touch a large public for money, and nothing more. We all know which great band was Immortal and we are all desappointed by what happening.

We lunch a campain against this back stab.

I never liked this band, I think they were shitty from begining.

Surprising... When did you listen to them for the first time?

I know some quite younger peoples have this feeling...
Maybe you didn't discover them when the first albums were released?

i used to like BM quite a lot for a short time when de mysteriis came out and i have to admit that de mysteriis i still like. Hvis lyset, Pure holocaust and battles were also amongst my faves buyt i can't stand them anymore even though some immortal riffs still rings in my mind and hvis lyset doomy feeling was quite an achievment

i still prefer bathory "under the sign of.." to all those

Once in the mood, I could still enjoy some Pure holocaust or Batlles in the north.
At the heart of winter wasn't a bad album, it was more heavy metal and less extreme...
It's true their gimmicks from later albums could be annoying and let them be taken as a joke band...
I'm not too informed about what happened in their last years, didn't listen to sons of northen darkness, and I don't like too much the marketing beast the band apparently became... But I'll try the last one by curiosity...

some good riffs on At the heart... but their image is just moronic and Abbath's voice sucks

First time listened Pure Holocaust in 1997....In that time I was more in death metal like Cancer , Incantation and old Entombed...I was young than but still never liked Immortal...

Immortal never really were pure Black Metal, so shouldn't really be bunched together with the other nordic bands. I never bothered with them once they were signed to Nuclear Blast though, which is when their marketing machine really took off. The material up to In the Heart of Winter was ok.
I've not heard their newest material, and won't bother with it unless I hear good things from reliable sources.
