Never really liked their later technoical Death. Only really like the more Death-thrash earlier stuff.

But it had ants on the cover! And how can it compare to songs like Parricide or Cycle of Existence?

Still, it's better than Spheres. BAD BAD BAD!!!

The cover isn't the best, but I still prefer the second album than the first one... More Death metal, more crush, more heaviness... And the vocals of Van Drunen where much better on CONSUMING!

His vocals probably were better, more gutteral on that one. And the guitars were better produced. But it didn't quite have the pace that Malleus had, it stumbles about in some places.

If maybe they could have done an album that had the heaviness of Consuming Impulse, combined with the ripping pace of Malleus Maleficarum, it would have killed! But instead they did the Testimony album, which wasn't that good.

I feel like the first album also kinda stumbles... Some riffs don't do much for me, maybe coz it's a bit too thrashy?

The big problem with Testimony are all these intros... It kinda wastes the listening... Maybe the production is a bit too 'light' also...

Just looking on these myspace things....

Pestilence

Everybody!!!

Well, it's getting to be reality! The resurrection of the mighty PESTILENCE.

Line-up: Tony Choy, bas

Peter Wildoer, drums

Patrick Mameli, guitarz and vox

This doesn't mean C-187 is dead!!!!

I'm currently working on new Pest material and it looks like this stuff is gonna be heavier and more brutal than ever before!!!!

So be prepared for some new Pest stuff!!!!

Patrick Mameli

the problem with the Testimony album was that it seemed to try and compete with all the Florida 'clean' production bands. When at the same time there was all the Incantation/Immolation/Demigod type darker material coming out....

I think it's strange "Sphere"s got the most votes... It has some qualities, but this board is rather death metallic
