Not Rip offs... but strange minded distros/ labels

HOLOKAOSTOR from Brazil...

First he doesn't want to trade unless it's Exactly how he wants:
He will send you master + covers of his releases, but you should send ready-to-use tapes (Thanx for the postal costs!!)... Where is the mutual support?... And it seems demos aren't good enough for him, nah, proooo CDs and beautiful ready-to-use prooo tapes are needed... I don't like these distros/ labels who are here to TAKE and only TAKE!

Then few hours later, he mails me, to directly ask if I want to release a tape of his band I never heard about... What the fuck? What's the use of directly begging this way? All the more since he didn't make a slight little effort to trade (lol... As if I didn't recognize the other myspace friend request that came 1 minute later...)

I someone asked me an opinion about his guy, I wouldn't advice... Just skip him...

There's waaaaaaaayy too many fukkin black metal labels these days that all carry the same fukkin items....That's why SFM is heading towards the more experimental noize/ambient side of things these days.....too many other labels are allready taking care of black metal Laughing

The question is....will they be around another decade or so? Rolling Eyes

I find that alot of labels find out FAST that there isn't much money to be made by starting a label so they close up shop preeeety fast.

But they only have pro CDs! They want to be released on tape, but won't take tapes in return... Very clever...

I'm assuming that maybe there is a demand for CD's down in Brazil?

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND when "1st" press cds are sold in the hundreds of dollars on ebay. Vinyl from the 60s-80s I can understand, same as cassettes. CD's tho, seems to "modern" to really be worth that much.

I'd be RICH if I didn't sell off all my cd's I had back in the late 90's.....I had hordes of original pressed cds from the early 90's.... rage

He doesnt only take pro cd releases.

He took most of my SFM cdr releases as well as cassette releases on cdr....and sent the same back in exchange.

Defintally not a ripp off for me at least, I'd say hes a safe trader. Cool

He doesnt only take pro cd releases.

Maybe he changed his mind since we "talked".. Some peoples are so picky sometimes... I don't like this kind of peoples who expect you to support them but won't do much in return (while they have the possibility to do so: a distro etc)

That is probally the case Gab. I rec'd my package within 3 weeks and it came with extra covers for cassette releases and 3 cdrs as well....

I sent him SFM's metal based releases.
