damn iron fist are fucking awesome, but i wont be able to afford to bring them out here.. besides, it would be too much iron and fists at the show (im in the process of confirming another fist band hahaha)


im really liking the sludgier bands that keep popping up around here, in between iron fist, fistfight, and gorged (rip?) i think east coast can kick any other canadian region's ass as far as slow brutality goes..

SLOTH is another great east coast band....Where abouts are the located? Hellifax?

gorged are no more, they were around for a couple of months last year, had an all-star local line up (guys from cephalectomy, collapse, gruesome feast, thy flesh consumed, etc were in it), and played two shows (opening for suffocation and misery index).. they were some slow death metal, sort of like some of the whorehouse massacre's stuff but more in-your-face death metal...
fistfight are fairle new (just released their demo in november) some kickass sludge with grind moments.. they are the first local band that i know of that has 2 bassists... check em out http://www.myspace.com/fistfight666

the only one of them i heard is thumbdrift, they are some bluesy/jazzy kinda stuff, their bassist is the singer for fistfight (he also does bass in defective perception), and a buddy of mine whos not much into metal, compared big game hunt to fistfight, thats all i know haha..

You guys have ALOT of great bands out east, I swear!
