HORROR MOVIES

I watched VIDEO VIOLENCE last night, what a killer goreflick based on people making SNUFF films....back in 1987.....Anyone ever seen this Gem?

Afraid I haven't caught that one yet. The last horror flick I picked up was one of those MGM Midnite Movies double feature discs. This was has two Poe adaptions (Masque Of The Red Death and The Premature Burial).
Gorehounds would probably find them boring but if you're into moody gothic atmosphere, they're definitely worth a look. Vincent Price is in Masque... and he simply dominates that movie. A lotta people kinda write him off as a one trick pony, but Price is one helluva fine actor. He always brought a bit of class to even the most low brow of films.

Last night I watched "OPEN WATER". What a creepy movie about a scuba diving trip that went terribly wrong!

I was told that the sharks used in the movie, are actually real and not animiated.

I've recently watched The Nostril Picker and Cannibal Terror. Quite possibly two of the worst films of all time.

'He chose his weapons... He selected his victims... He picked his nose... He changed into a girl!!!'

Bad. Just very, very BAD.

Kinda pumped for the upcoming re-release of Happy Birthday To Me (with the restored original soundtrack) and waaaay fuckin' pumped for Night Of The Creeps. Both out this month!!!

I'm gonna pop by Zellers soon, as they have a bunch of $2 DVDS on sale for Halloween

Rusty's Halloween Top 5 Releases:
1. Night Of The Creeps! FINALLY see's the DVD light on October 27th! Looks like all those paperboys I sacrificed to satan finally paid off.

2. Trick 'R Treat earned its hype. I can tell it's gonna be one of those movies that you pop in EVERY Halloween.

3. After a careful re-examining, Happy Birthday To Me is arguably the second best Canadian slasher film of all time. Points to Anchor Bay to giving it a PROPER release...and a bag of burning dogshit on Paramount's front door for releasing such a halfassed version a few years back.

4. Dead Snow. If Evil Dead 2 featured Nazi zombies and everyone spoke Norwegian, it'd be called Dead Snow. Awesome tin packaging from Paradox. Apparantly this is a Canuck only release.

5. Phantasm 2 has been on every fan boy's want list for years (except for the limeys who got it in that ragingly fuckin' awesome "sphere set"). Cudos to Universal for finally getting off their asses and releasing this bad boy. Now let's give Universal a good square kick in the nuts for including fuck all for extras.

Jesus! What a rip off of Fantastic Voyage!!! I'm suprised they didn't get sued over that.
I found a couple fun flicks at Zellers and Giant Tiger but they were in the $5 to $10 category

This 2012 is a documentary. It focuses in on Nosterdamous (sp?) which is kinda sorta neat

One of my favorite things in the world, yes. Though I haven't seen many good recent ones. I've done a horror movie review site since 1999 and help out with a local cable-access horror program that plays old black and white movies.

I thought Trick or Treat was fun, the one with Ozzy and Gene Simmons. My dad made me watch that years ago, haven't seen it in a while. (My dad got me into horror movies, anyway, he made me watch Evil Dead and Basket Case when I was a very young kid, heh)

Cool that it got rereleased. I only have the Phantasm movies on VHS and I had to look hard to find number 3, I recall.

Just watched the Amityville Horror remake for the first time, it was actually really good, reminded me alot of the 1970s Italian horror films!

I just watched Amityville: It's About Time (1992) today, thought it was kind of dull and stupid in parts. Some crap about buying a clock belonging to Gilles des Rais.

I haven't seen the 2005 remake.

Watched Leviathan last night. I thought it was pretty damn cool. It seemed like it took ideas from Alien, Aliens, and The Thing and put it them on the bottom of the ocean.

Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. One of my new favourite movies.

I watched Whiteout with Kate Beckinsale. Not really horror but she is fucking hot. The movie was based in Antarctica and there was lots of violence so it was decent.
