I can't remember if I've asked this before, but whose vocals do you prefer? Dave Vincent or Mike Browning? I've always thought Dave started out by just copying other vocalists, then when he found his 'own' voice on Domination, it sounded terrible.
Though the videos of the Grindcrusher tour in '89 sound great!

Right now, TRIBULATION - The Horror

In MORBID ANGEL, I clearly prefer David Vincent, even if Browning had his charm...

Maybe Vincent was copying other vocalists (??) in the way of spelling the words, but some parts are made with so much conviction and DEPTHS than it couldn't matter at all... I never considered him to be a copycat or something...

Your post reminds me a bit of the little "war" that occured on boards few years ago between those who prefered "Altars of madness" and those who prefered "Abominations of desolation"... It's clearly not the same thing, level or accomplishment... "Altars" is definitely a more accomplished "Abominations" at every levels... (Ok I could understand some peoples prefer "Abominations" for it's rough and more 'convenient' demo aspect, but calling it a classic or masterpcie is another story...)

More mixed listenings of the last 3 days:

DARK ANGEL - We have arrived

MORBID ANGEL - Altars of madness

NILE - Seeds of vengeance

SUFFOCATION - Souls to deny (I prefer this one than the 2 following CDs)

EXIT 13 - Ethos musick (Weeed)

EMPEROR - In the nightside eclipse

And an AEROSMITH best of... Trying to get a bit more into their style...

it was the band that featured Paul Neville of FALL OF BECAUSE and GODFLESH, "psychedelic" noisy rock/metal with a drum machine and almost no vocals. they have a myspace.

Amazing album. Aerosmith is in my top 5.

"Rocks" is my favourite album by this classic band.

isn't NCF a one man project? i've seen a youtube clip where you can see the guy switch from guitar to bass to vocals, etc.

I was just saying that its probally cheaper to order from Gab as hes in France and I'm in Canada. Cool

Yeah, NCF is a one man project, to the best of my knowledge. Chris used to do vokills for HORDE OF WORMS, a excellent Canadian death/black metal band
