'Get Thrashed' Documentary Nearing Completion - Jan. 9, 2006

The makers of "Get Thrashed", the much-anticipated documentary profiling the thrash metal scene of the early Eighties and its impact on the music scene, have issued the following update regarding the project's current status:

"In the year since the last news update, we have made giant strides towards completing 'Get Thrashed'. At this point, we are making final tweaks to the 100-minute long film in the hopes that we can start entering 'Get Thrashed' in film festivals worldwide as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can go to www.myspace.com/getthrashed for more frequent updates and blogs.

"In addition, starting February 8th please check www.getthrashed.com on the 8th of every month for new clips, outtakes etc.

"Thanks to everyone who has e-mailed in support of 'Get Thrashed'. It's coming up on 3 1/2 years in the making and we can't wait to share it with all of you. A handful of fans and bands have seen sneak peaks of the film and if their reviews are any indication, it will be worth the wait. I know you guys are going to love 'Get Thrashed'! Thanks for hanging in there."

"Get Thrashed", the brainchild of director Rick Ernst, a longtime freelance producer for MTV, will include interviews with METALLICA, SLAYER, MEGADETH, ANTHRAX, EXODUS, GODSMACK, DISTURBED, SEVENDUST, TESTAMENT, OVERKILL, DEATH ANGEL, SHADOWS FALL, MESHUGGAH, HIRAX, IN FLAMES, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, STONE SOUR, SUPERJOINT RITUAL, LAMB OF GOD, VIO-LENCE, KREATOR, NUCLEAR ASSAULT, VOIVOD, CHIMAIRA, BIOHAZARD, FOZZY singer/WWE superstar Chris Jericho, SEPULTURA, KITTIE, THE HAUNTED, D.R.I., SOILWORK, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, HEATHEN, Brian Slagel, Jon & Marsha Zazula, authors Ian Christe ("Sound of the Beast") and Steven Blush ("American Hardcore"), NY metal radio DJ Eddie Trunk, "Radio Rampage"'s Ron Quintana, as well as unsigned thrash bands OSMIUM, CONCRETE COFFIN and VISCID.

so it's still on its way right? cool. the trailer looked great. a REAL metal documentary that will render the genre justice, this sole thought makes my long lost hopes surface again!!!

Fozzy is pretty horrible, the only reason why they are so famous is because Chris Jerico, a professional wrestler, is their singer. They play nu-metal kinda deal.
