Hello folks,....this is scruff (ex hellbastard) here. I formed the band in 1984/5 when I was fed up of travelling to London to partake in activities of the band I was in at the time (art terrorists THE APOSTLES). Those guys (Andy & Dave apostle...now UNIT) taught me a lot,....and I have never looked back since. Besides, I was in a children's home and still at school and the whole thing SUCKED. My dad had died in 1977 and my mother comitted suicide in 1981,...the children's home was a place I never wanted to be,.but there was no one else to look after me,.so...
...Funnily enough,a friend of mine saw this site and contacted me only yesterday, a Mr. John Cook (ex REIGN) who comes from up north and has a band called Deadpad. He twisted my arm to RE-FORM HELLBASTARD and it looks like a NEW HELLBASTARD album will be released on FURY 76 RECORDS in 2007 !!! I still dont know how I feel about all of this,.but if we can make the album really different and not just typical thrash or crust or any of that OLD stuff,.then I will put my heart into it. It WILL be a blasting album,.for sure. But with ODD twists and turns and a whole lot more besides. Ideally it should feature a guy from LAS VEGAS called Eric Thompson, he had a band called PAPSMEAR in the late 80s and early 90s. A great guy and a greater guitarist !!!!!! We always talked about getting Eric in the band and it never materialised. WHERE ARE YOU ERIC YOU FOOL !!!!! COME AND RECORD A NEW HELLBASTARD ALBUM !!!!!! COME ON !!!!!!!!...Get yourself here to the UK and lets fuckin DO THIS,. MAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!.
