New DEICIDE. Heaviest shit ever!!

Following DEICIDE's current European tour, the band are looking forward to putting some newly written material onto record. "The new material is the heaviest shit we've ever written." said bassist/vocalist Glen Benton in a press release. "This is sure to be heaviest record since [1992's] 'Legion'."

Along with an upcoming recording session, the band have tentative plans to tour South America come January and February.

Some new blood has entered DEICIDE in the form of Jack Owen (ex-CANNIBAL CORPSE) and Ralph Santolla (ex-ICED EARTH, DEATH). Glen Benton says that he is looking forward to continuing with the new lineup.

"Everyone is getting along great. I'm excited to get out there and play again without any hassles," stated Benton.

DEICIDE — who last year parted ways with guitarists and founding members, Eric and Brian Hoffman — are touring in support of their latest release, 2004's "Scars of the Crucifix".

For sure it will be a big heavy and smelly shit!

if you look at album credits, you'll often see he "thanks to the Emmanuel familly"

I remember an old horror movie which featured 2 songs from Covenant, at the end you could see they were copyrighted 'Emmanuel / Vincent'

Me too. I still remember hearing the self titled for the first time, wow. Previous to hearing that, I had not really heard a Death Metal album. I had heard a few Death and Carcass songs but DEICIDE was the first DM album I heard in its entirety.

Me too. I still remember hearing the self titled for the first time, wow. Previous to hearing that, I had not really heard a Death Metal album. I had heard a few Death and Carcass songs but DEICIDE was the first DM album I heard in its entirety.

It's not like they sold out or anything like that, as they are still playing aggressive death metal.

I know, it is so ridiculous. I think people just like to complain. You will always hear people bashing a band for 'selling out' and likewise for a band 'not progressing and becoming boring'. Who knows, maybe their christians who had no idea what DEICIDE was about at first haha. Some people just like to complain to validate their existence.

No kidding! I work with a couple dozen cry babies, they are always complaining over the most petty shit!

I guess the same goes with death metal music, but I find taht alot of the DEICIDE haters weren't into death metal untill 2000+. Alot of them seem to be younger and weren't listening to much death metal in the 90's.
