The new year brings many weak and puny resolutions that no one wants to keep. Instead, we offer you a mighty resolution that is easy to keep. We don’t ask you to give something up, rather we ask that you indulge in some powerful headbanging pleasure with The Governor, and a brand new episode of The Governor’s Ball!
We ring in the New Year with a very special interview. Direct from Taiwan, The Governor speaks with vocalist Freddy from oriental black metallers Chthonic. For those not familiar with the group, Chthonic play symphonic black metal infused with the sounds of traditional far eastern music. They have also received the away for “Best Band” at the Golden Melody Awards (the Taiwanese equivalent of a Grammy) and were presented the award by the President of Taiwan. Freddy himself has become a bit of a movie star after starring in his first feature film last year. Tune in to hear him and The Governor discuss black metal in eastern culture, making movies, and the love of the lady groupies.
