This Mcd is actually the second work of this UK Black/Death Metal band. It reflex an interesting blend of influences that ranges from the traditional US Death Metal, in the vein of Morbid Angel, some strong traces of Swedish Death Metal, ala At The Gates (“Slaughter of the Soul” era) and Black Metal, but not the traditional sounding Nordic Black Metal… The guitar work is intense and strong, playing semi-technical riffs, with some intense melodic lines (which in the second track “Anger Overload” remembers me the sound of Iron Maiden…). The sharpened and precise guitars prints violence and anger over the music, while the varied, and equally precise, drumming drives the whole music through varied structures and brakes that will take your breath away. The bass sounds consistent, clear and it’s the perfect complement for the muscular drumming. The vocal work is closer to Death than Black Metal, with mid toned growls and some low grunt worthy of an extreme Death Metal band… But the Black Metal is still strongly present in tracks like “Primal” where the blasting drums, mixed with the grinding guitars, reaches a fairly chaotic atmosphere, but it seems the Black Metal is more present in the whole aura of Necrosadistic Goat Torture than in the separate elements… in fact, when I separate the musical elements of “One Nation Under Goat” and rationalize it this is pure Death Metal!! But when I just listen to it, I don’t know why, but sounds like Black Metal to me… strange don’t you think? …Anyway, this is a great work, full of Death Metal fierce and poisonous Black Metal atmospheres.
