Getting replys for interpukes

I've sent out around 20 or so interviews, but I'm finding people seem really slow to get replys back (could be because my questions are shit though eheh!!!!). How long does it usually take to get a reply???

And what is the best way to get people to answer? I've tried sending them porn, but it doesn't seem to make them go any faster...... (maybe they are wanking too hard, their arms are too tired to write?!?)

Obviously not everyone has great English, so will take a while for them to make a translation......

The last interview I did was with CHASE from SNOWFALL , A WINTER LOST, SKULDRON , CRUST LUST etc many other bands....

andits been ummmmmm 2 months 3 maybe even 4 since he has answered the questions.

Now thats DRUNK n too GRIMMMMM naa i'm sure hes too busy getting hammeed to answer questions for a "webzine"

he even tried passing it on Cain to make it a SNOWFALL intie I think :lol!:

Did you send your questions through snail mail or email?
Email seems to be the best solution since peoples are usually too lazy to take a pen...

A mixture of the two, but nobody has sent any replys by snailmail yet! (I think most in the post (5 of them) were sent off around February time.... I'll be pissed off if they all arrive after I've started printing!!!)

It's not such a problem with the e-mail replies now, I've got 10 back, just that at the start of April, I'd only got 2!

(though I would like some of the perhaps 'lesser' known bands to reply, seems like I've got mostly the usual suspects giving their answers back at the moment....)

A 2-3 months delay remains Ok, really... I use to wait for months(Even 1-2 years sometimes) so a good solution might be to send a lot of too much interviews for the first issue, you could at least have enough at the right moment...
It might be a good idea to contact some bands again, to ask what's up and eventually give them a deadline! So that they understand your zine isn't dead (Keep in mind it's your first issue, so in a way you didn't make your 'proofs').

Well, if you want fast replies, I could guarantee IMPUREZA would write back fast as hell! It's at least what they did with each interview I sent them.

Yeah, I've done that, so hopefully if they do give answers, it can end up in the second issue (I guess it's why there are so many web zines about, no deadlines means you can update the site when you get them, rather than having to lump them all together into an 'issue'....)

I'd need to hear more from them to do an interview (always hate it when you can tell the interviewer has never heard of the band he's asking questions to!)

What do you currently own of IMPUREZA? Maybe their split with HELLSPAWN and HATEFUL?
I could send you the last split I released with them...

Just tidying up the last pages, doing last minute reviews. I've got a co-editor whose done the Desecration and Envenom interpukes, he should be over next Saturday with them all so hopefully will be ready for printing by then! (Admittedly the last time I saw him, he'd got one review covering 2 pages! So hopefully it doesn't end up being over 100 pages long!)

Prices aren't definite, I'll need to weigh it first to see how the postage is (those are just guess'....)

I'll need to clean up the flyer as well, the lettering doesn't print too well at this moment....

I think, no problem with the long wait for the interview coz a good and dedicated zine can wait, and the long wait will be a total worth, believe me. But if no answer for the interview, than they simply dont like to be in a small zine coz thay can't get a "mainstream" exposure. BTW, is your issue now out? can we do trades? Thanks!

Trades are fine yes. I've finished my part, but the co-editor hasn't! I've got 76 pages, he's done around 10ish. Hopefully I'll see him again on the 28th (Oppression gig ), if not I'll just print it without his part.

Just need to buy the 'free gifts' eheh!
