How many zines do you read monthly?

How many zines do you read monthly?

Does this include reading old zines?

Usually I have to read one about 5 times to understand an interview. Once to read about an unknown band. 2nd time after first getting their demo. 3rd time after 10 or so listens. 4th time by the point they have an album out. 5th time in case I forgot something!

And if it's a good interview, I'll read it more....

If you read each of the copies several time, it could be discussed

These days I've been lacking zine reading time but theres a good reason for this- the underground seems to lack printed zines these days period.

Besides "Morbid Tales" zine, I can't think of one Canadian zine going right now.

I chose "I kinda like zines: Between 1 and 3" but I don't agree fully with this... I just have trouble finding enough zines I like to get more than that many per month, it's not that I don't like zines.

When I have to. I just put on my site that I don't accept stuff for review anymore, stresses me out having to hurry up and write reviews for people, so I just review things I have bought. It's not that I hate ALL BM that's come out in recent years, I just hate 99.99% of it. Still, people send me things, and still, I review them though. I guess I am sort of sick of most new music these days. A lot of stuff all sounds the same to me.

Regarding zines, though, most zines I read I don't even like most of the bands in them, and I have no problem with that. I read interviews with bands of all genres and regardless of whether I like them or not. I never understood why people only read stuff of bands they like. Most metal zines bore me these days though. Probably I just getting old and curmudgeonly.

cool, will let you know when it's done. Right now the problem is I am only working part time and have a lot of medical bills and student loans, and just no extra money at the end of the month to print the zine. I am hoping to get it out soon though. I still have some reviews to write and things to finish up.

Yeah, I haven't had medical insurance of any kind since I was 18 and on my dad's insurance. Then last year I got sick and spent time in the hospital and it cost like $1000 for an ambulance, $10,000 for the hospital stay, another $600 for doctors coming in, and the list goes on. I had a bunch of bills from when I was living/studying in Germany before that, but I could've taken care of them if I didn't have all that on top of it. Need to file bankruptcy probably, because I am just totally fucked...

I am hoping to have some extra money coming in in a month or two, so I will try to get the zine printed then. Meanwhile, I don't even know of any places to print it locally, I moved in May. I might need to go out of town to do it.

Thats fucked up man. Sorry to hear this. Up here we do have to pay for ambulances or 911 calls, but not for our stay in the hosiptal. Also, we have to pay for medication too unless one is lucky and on a drug plan of some sort.

Yeah, filing bank ruptcy isnt THAT bad....just means your credits bad for what is it, like 7 years or smth?

Yeah, people keep saying it'll fuck up my credit, but if I can't pay my bills now, my credit is ALREADY fucked up. At least with bankruptcy, there is hope of fixing it eventually. As it is, I keep paying and my balances just don't go down, no end in sight...
