During these times when "individuality" is fast-fading,Willie Desamero has declared war against the herds of sheep-like masses which follows every musical trends and conforms to everything that the media, the underground scene,(or the government) declares as "cool" or "In",PATHOGEN is stuck like a thorn by the side of our City's pathetic and weak musical community and underground scene,if you can call it that. Willie always championed the cause of people who are willing to stand up against trends,tradition,collectivism,conformity,conventional wisdom and popular opinion. Focusing instead on our own creative effort. PATHOGEN was formed in the apocalyptic city of San Pablo on January 2001 by Willie Desamero of EFFLUVIUM with the sole purpose of creating a musical expression of total armaggeddon and hell bent on creating true death metal that bows to no trends. PATHOGEN is influenced by a wide variety of metal bands such as AUTOPSY,SACRIFICE,SARCOFAGO,PESTILENCE,COMECON,CANDLEMASS,VENOM,CELTIC FROST,ANGEL WITCH,SODOM,PUNGENT STENCH,MASSACRE,HALLOWS EVE,IMPETIGO ,70's Classic Rock,Noise/grind and old Punk Rock and tons more. The band is comprised of dedicated metalheads true to the alcohol-soaked,misantrophic and sexually depraved existence they lead.
