MORBID ANGEL - Altars of madness...

And MORBID ANGEL - Altars of madness again, and so I could sleep...

What do you think about this one ?

I have listened to it again one week ago, I think that apart from the fag drum sound and the guitar tone that could have been a bit stronger, it's a great album, like all ANGELCORPSE releases.

When it came out, I didn't like the drums too much...
Now I don't care, I listen to the guitars and I think it sounds cool

If you want a comparison, I prefer it to "Heretic" of MA, even if the style of both albums isn't so close...

same opinion.

I didn't listened much to Heretic and it didn't striked me a lot...

last death metal i heard was the Isengard - spectres over gorgoroth bootleg EP
its fucking rawking DM compared to hostmorke... when i first got it i was mighty dissapointed that it wasnt folky like hostmorke, but having relistened to it a couple days ago, im glad its what it is

tony sent me both the tape and the cd of his band... CD was a bit better in my opinion but if you avoid the drum machine this band rules.

Cool Death metal from France.

EXTERMINATORIUM/ NECROBSCURE Split tape.

First band is in the old KRISIUN style,
second one is closer to the first IMMOLATION album.

All I'll say is, I haven't felt that enthusiastic in a while!

You mean the trailer of the album ? with no vocals and riffs from all songs ?

I didnt like the guitar tone but there are some great riffs in there, and I love the drums. So I will certainly buy the album. This said I didn't go into the records after Erosion of Sanity...

Sure if you prefer the old stuff, you might not enjoy this one. But as for the tone, don't forget it's youtube (aka super compressed)

I listened on Blabbermouth and myspace but I guess it's the same...

I hope the real guitar tone is warmer and less "clinical"... Well I also wait to listen to the songs with vocals. It might change my feeling...

I don't know what "death metal" means by your personal standards, but you can be sure it'll be more agressive than say, the new Cynic stuff.

VADER - The Ultimate Incantation

wow !! damn brutal, great sound, awesome vocals, the shadow of MORBID ANGEL and SLAYER is everywhere and some DEICIDE influences too (like on The Crucified Ones and the first vocal line).

A very great record, one of the best VADER releases if not the best.....
