BSoV was great, to me it was their peak.Funnily enough, this week I heard that their ex drummer Pete Hammoura plays in a hard rock band now.

What would be the best NILE album for you guys ? I don't know that band very much. I guess the early works may be my kind of shit.

try Catacombs of Nephren-Ka, Black Seeds of Vengeance, and the demo compilation In The Beginning (reviewed on TSOTL, heh!)

After that, dunno, In Their Darkened Shrines was kinda boring to me, though some people think it's their masterpiece.

No, they're American bands with three exclusive tracks from each band that was released in 1993. Almost all the bands released nothing else other than this and maybe one demo. The DEMOLITION and MUTILAGE tracks are particularly great.

ASPHYX - Embrace the Death.

The best ASPHYX album by far. Theo Loomans voice is terrifying, the prod is rawer than the two albums with Van Drunen, it's the same music (and even common songs with The Rack) but more savage and crushing. A more primitive and obscure (if it's even possible) ASPHYX there. Argh. Total death metal darkness.

Alot of Nihilistic Holocaust releases actually, I find NH to be one of the better labels for old styled death metal.

i got a letter from him in the summer, havent heard from him since then.. prolly gonna send him another package in the next few weeks..

yeah its pretty good.. im not a huge fan of early brutal DM, but this one is a bit on the grindcore side of BDM, so i like...
