Heres my review of the Pathogen release.

Pathogen are a death metal quartet from Laguna, Philippines. They play old school death metal. This is a re-release of the Demo from 2004, which i heard thanks to my buddy Roy Sierra. This release has 5 tracks from their cassette release "Ritual Sodomy" "Necrovore" "Sacrilegous Profanation" "Descent into Dementia" and "Pestilent Infestor". The production on these tracks is raw and gritty which fits their style of music.

Pathogen: Into The Subconscious Void (cdr, Skull Fucking Metal Rec.)

Well, still in Death Metal genre but this time a bit “exotic” stuff as Pathogen comes from Philippines. Hopefully they are also supreme Death Metal. This stuff is a re-release of their 2005 demo made by Skull Fucking Metal Rec. from Canada. Well here we have 5 studio tracks made in really high level when it comes to old school death metal, don’t expect trendy shit nor shitty mediocre stuff, Pathogen knows how to create interesting and rotting old school death metal. Riffs are in the old school way and easily force you to headbanging. The feeling is that old School reminds late 80’s, finally there are some leads here and there which are very tasty, some of them reminds of Morbid Angel, some others are more noisy raw stuff and some others are close to Varathron stuff in my opinion. Probably the 5th track is a bonus one, for this release as I don’t know title and also wasn’t on original release of the demo, anyway...On this cdr you will also find around 20 minutes of live material which ends with a Venom’s “Countess Bathory” cover, great stuff to get!
