Bassist/founding member Pat Burns of the long-defunct
New Jersey thrashers DEATHRASH has sent the following
update to BLABBERMOUTH.NET:
"[DEATHRASH] rocked the world from '85-'87 and
released a very popular demo tape, called 'Faces OF
Death', that was the #6 demo of 1986 in Metal Forces
magazine, were on the compilation 'Speed Metal Hell 2'
on New Renaissance Records and are listed in the book
'A to Z of Thrash Metal'. We are having a get-together
for the 20th anniversary of the release of 'Faces of
Death' in February. We haven't been in the same room
together in over 10 years. We are planning to go over
the old live tapes from '86 and '87 and digitize the
best tracks for a future CD release that would include
the demo. A lot of the live stuff has never been
released. There is also talk of possibly recording
some new stuff."
DEATHRASH's lineup had briefly included drummer Tony
Scaglione, who had previously played with WHIPLASH,
SLAYER, LUDICHRIST and RAGING SLAB, among other acts
