I get really frustrated with bands that ask me if I would like to review their demo/full length, and then I say yes, and then they ask me if I would like the link to download their release for review, or to review their tracks off of myspace which is even more ridicilous.

These bands don't think that maybe I have a shitty laptop with BAD speakers, so how in the hell can I review their stuffs properlly?

Also, it takes alot of time to do a long, honest review, so the band should really be snail mailing their release with a full cover/inlay/infos....not a fuckin link or a myspace download....the band should be putting just as much work into their stuffs to be heard. I do not review downloads as I can't capture the same feeling as a demo tape/cdr on my stero does...

I globally agree,
except that I happen to review downloads when I find something that I can reiew "naturally", when it's cool enough and the review comes out by itself...

Right. This is because you choose to review the stuff you download rather then being begged by a band to be heard, without them doing much to be heard....

It's worse when a band directly asks you for an interview...

Lately I received this from a band I never heard about:

"Hi!
band_xxx is releasing the new album entitled "blablabla" soon and are wondering if you would be interested in doing an interview for your webzine?"

Luckily for him, this band plays black metal...
