ANTI CDR ???

in the last times i was hearing a lot a bout "i hate cdr"...

some people is throwing shit to this format...

really is a shit???

actually, this is a easy, fast and cheap way to release something... i think underground means: "i have no money, but i have Metal balls" ... then if a band release stuff in cdr is shit?? ... perhaps they have no enough money to buy a deck, or double deck to release stuff...

maybe some people are trying to be "the real", saying "i tape, i tape" ... maybe it is just a pose... and of course for thsoe who hasnt live the times is a fucking poser shit!!! ... if they have no live the tapes times... why do they can have some special feeling about tapes???? ... why can they say "i hate cdr, i just like tapes" ??... if cdrs is a matter of theri times?? ... well

at least in my country a clear cdr is cheapest than a cassette...

then tapes could be turning in format hard to get time by time...

even i should to say here, double decks are hard to find...

then... cdr is total shit??? ... or could be ok.. what do you think ???

I perfer tapes over cdrs ...they last longer, they look better, I grew up listening to them so im more used to them, they sound better, they look better hanging on my wall...

CDRS are good news as well thou, cheap to mail, cheap to produce.
SFM usually releases CDRS as money is very limited for us these days...

In reality tho, I try and focus more on cassettes....

yes keegan... of course cassettes (tapes), has really more feeling for the people that grew up listening Metal in tapes... i grew up in this way too...

but specifically i was talking about, if really cdrs are shit, and are total desqualified to be into Metal??? ... it is the format of sissy boys, and posers??? ... as some poeple say???

special feeling about tapes exists without any doubt (for those who has lived the times of course) ... but

actual situation of cdrs, cannot be something similar as the situation of tapes in 80s????

fast, cheap and easy to deal???

can we say: 80s times of tapes, and 2000 times of cdrs?????????

pd: of course im not discuting the importance and the feeling about tapes through Metal history, the best years of Metal was lived in tape... tapes has an special feeling of course, even i have here all my tapes since i was a child and i kept it as a treasure!!!!

Don't take it personally. I am not a big fan of digital media at all. I've been trying to get rid of all my distro cd and cd-r stock.

Me to always trade Cdrs and just keep some Cds that I really listen.Mostly Im into tape stuff.
As you said thi is my personal though and my personal aesthetics vision.

i could comprehend it at least for people that is too old, and has been involved into Metal since80s ... but the fucking matter is that some boys (18 or 20 years) ... are some "haters" ...

of course it could something without sense cos, the cdr are the format of their times ... they never could have some special feeling to tapes isnt it ???????

here i like so much tapes, but really i have no problem with cdr ...

as i told in a before reply, sometimes it depends too about money...

the another day i was talking with a guy from Brasil, he lives in a poor state, where people has no money !!! ... for them to buy a tape player could be impossible, then they should to release their stuff just in cdr cos, it is the most cheap , easy, and fast way ... even they could not print their cdrs, or put a sticker on it , they just make their releases with a printed cover and a normal cdr ...

i think in this cases, the effort and passion that they put on their works is the important isnt it ??? ... i think nobody could say : "they are posers cos they release its stuff on cdr and not in tape" ... but i know some falses extremists could say this ...

just to trying to be the "real" , the "old metallers" ...

at the end Metal is inside of each one, and the devotion that a person has is show in their loyalty, conviction and effort that they put to Metal !!!

i listen to metal since 1991 and it's always the same you had:
- the guys who were hating thrash and listening only to death metal
- the guys saying punks sucked
- the true black metaler
- now you have the tape lover/cd hater

etc etc and so on
