SEX, DRINKS AND ... POSERS ???

in the last times i was hearing about that phrase : "sex, drinks, and Metal " ... some dudes are telling this as the "real things in Metal" ...

i ask you ...

really sex, drinks and also even drugs by example; really it belongs to Metal ??? ... really it are the best words to simbolize Metal ???

i think it are normal things of normal life, which anyone could make or practice ...

but real things for Metal is Metal loyalty, Metal devotion, Metal conviction, that not a simple person could have for Metal ...

a simple person could fuck, take drugs, take alcohol ... but no a simple person could have Metal in his soul ...

then, really to be a Metaller is needed to "fuck" , to take "drugs" , to be an "alcoholic" ...

at least for me Metal is something more important than this things of mortal life ... Metal for me is trascendental and something far away of this "simple things" ...

pd: here the "metallers" are the sex , drinks and drugs guys ... supposedly it is the correct attitude to be a metaller , i dunno how it could be in europe by example ...

It depends I guess. Glam rock 80s hair bands of course were all about sex, drinks and drugging......I think one can be for or against sex, drugs and drinks and still carry true metal passion.

Each to their own.

Becouse best friend of mine is heroin,cocaine,and all extreme drugs and I know how goes with that.I have some more aesthetic way of self-destruction.

Metal is not "fuck", "alcohol" and "drugs" isnt it ????

as i told Metal is more important things , at least for me ...

Anything can become a drug when abused...Let it be T.V., Sex, Toxins, Food, etc etc...

I understand what you are saying thou my friend, its never fun watching a best friend become a slave to dangerous drugs like herione or crack, I hope he gets the help he needs before its too late man!

Metal is my favourite kind of music as its aggressive iike I tend to be.

i like alot of punk and noize/experimental as well, but I can relate to Metal the most.

Hmm...I am a firm advocate of Sex, Drinks (Drugs), and Metal. However, that phrase does NOT make metal. I'm an alcoholic. I am a prior HEAVY drug user. I live for metal...so the philosophy lives true with me. I just don't think that you need to share that philosophy to be a true metal head. It just makes it that much better. :rireee:
