Nuclear Blast Records has announced the finalists of
their "unsigned band" competition which was held last
year. More than 1,500 submissions were received, and
according to a posting on the label's web site,
"especially the packagings were really impressive.
[For] that reason, we decided to award the five most
innovative packages with a special prize. Within the
next weeks we'll announce the final winners of the
contest!"
Nuclear Blast last August announced that it was
offering young unisigned bands a chance to sign a
record deal. In a unique contest that was said to be
the first of its kind in Nuclear Blast's history,
bands were given an opportunity to win a contract with
one of the leading independent labels for heavy music.
