A posting on the official SATANIC SLAUGHTER website reads: "R.I.P Ztephan Dark." No further details are provided. However, Tartarean Desire reports that Ztephan "has sadly passed away due to a serious heart condition."

Ztephan Dark formed Satanic Slaughter in 1985 and released four full-length albums: Satanic Slaughter (Necropolis, 1995), Land Of The Unholy Souls (Necropolis, 1996), Afterlife Kingdom (Loud N' Proud, 1996) and Banished To The Underworld (Black Sun, 2000).
