MOTÖRHEAD frontman Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister spoke with
Australia's Time Off magazine about how fans have gone
to extremes to show their devotion to the band, who
are celebrating their 30th anniversary with shows in
Australia alongside MÖTLEY CRÜE. "One guy in Germany
had the MOTÖRHEAD logo tattooed down the whole of his
back," he said. "They have 'em tattooed on their
calves and on the side of their heads. I mean, that
would have hurt! But people fall in love to MOTÖRHEAD
too. A couple in Germany called their daughter Lemmy
because they met at one of our shows. We get a lot of
young kids at our shows because we keep coming up with
new records. We're not some dinosaur act. We're still
huge in places where rock 'n' roll still matters."
