- I worked in a convenience store, night shift, for 3 years. I was usually the only person in the store (employees, I mean) until the boss came at 5am, but I still hated customers (was also robbed at gunpoint 3 times). Likewise, when I was working as a security guard, I was the only person on duty, which was nice also. Mostly got paid for sitting at a desk, messing around on my laptop. I'm still hoping to find a job with minimal human interaction, but I'm applying for a bit of everything.
The first time I went to college it was actually for film, but then I realized how many fucking people you have to deal with to make a film, even a small one, and I said to hell with all that. heh. Holy shit man! Did you get time off work after you were robbed? What was it like when it happened if you don't mind me asking. Yeah, film production seems fucked up for sure. Way too many ppl involved. _______________________ SKULLFUCKINGMETAL DISTRO/LABEL. Canadian Extreme Metal & Experimental Noize Distribution: http://skullfuckingmetal.blogspot.com

| Well twice it happened when I was about to leave, on days I was working the 3-11 shift. In those, I was either in the back room or the cooler, so they don't count as much. Though in one case the dude ripped the register off the counter and it was bolted to it, and he ran down the street with it. heh.
the other time, also during a rare 3-11 shift, dude in a hoodie came in with a gun and asked for the cash in the register. We were trained to give robbers the cash, it's insured, so I did. He then asked for a pack of Newports! The girl who just took her register off (2 people on duty on that shift, only one on duty at night) gave him the cigarettes.
What was really fucked up was the local cops. They brought us to a house full of Mexicans and asked us to ID the guy, but it was a black guy, not a mexican. The cops there hate mexicans though, so they kept trying to get us to say it was a mexican. later they showed up at our apartment (my roommate and I both worked there) right when my roommate was about to smoke a bowl, so that freaked her out. They made us look at more mugshots. We didn't get any time off work. It happened at the end of the shift, so we actually had to stay longer to do reports and call people and things.
The robber wasn't very scary in this case, and even if he was, he came in and left within about 45 seconds. _______________________ http://codzine.net print zine #18 out now

| I work at the library on campus doing a variety of jobs from getting books ready to go on shelf to sorting and filing government documents since our library is one of 3 gov't document repositories in the state it's a rather mind numbing and boring job but it gives me spending money. | |

| I work full time (40 hours a week) in a Silk Screen printing shop. I reclaim the screens, work as a press assistant, and print posters. Its mind numbing at times but I can listen to music all day long. | |
