| I think it is....I'm recieveing less orders and the stock keeps pyling up while so called "underground" people continue to "down load"
I think it's almost time I leave the underground, due to lack of support. Yes, I do SFM for myself as well but these days i'm less motivated...
I have 6 upcomming releases that I might pass on now, and my stock keeps fucking building up to the point of kaos.
Toronto people REALLY don't give a fuck about me and i'm practically banned from the metal scene here anyways for being me.
I might have a "Blow out" sale soon, and then i'm gone once and for all.
This has happened before to SFM and then I come back and TOXIC HOLOCAUST and HELLCAUST are fuckin well known...and ppl still to this day can't read and realize that this release is NO LONGER IN FUCKING PRINT DUE TO THE BANDS REQUEST.
I think I might just focus on promoting underground shows and playing guitair in my bands.
cheers y'all and fuckin support the underground while it still supports you!

| The safest solution is to release or plan nothing new.... I won't release anything new for "some" time with NIHILISTIC... I'll just take care of the current releases and the distro stuffs, so I'm not trapped in a corner if things really don't improve...
I totally understand how you feel, since I often feel totally vanished by the underground, but what could I say? Try to find new involvements in things that do not cost too much money...

| i totally hear you man.. i myself am contemplating a major change with samizdat.. not sure what, but the way it was run before is clearly not working; i end up with piles of kick ass music, that no one seems to be interested in. its not that im dissapointed im not making money (it was clear to me from the beginning that this will not be the case), but i do not want to continue investing my money into something that does not interest anyone. i am going to see how my next couple of releases go (at least the ones i cant back out of), and then depending on that, i might cancel all the ones im not bound to.. i dont particularly want to end up in a position, where samizdat is done, and i am sitting on a stock of freshly printed releases that need to be distributed. _______________________ never stop the madness!

| TWM is growing thanks in large part to you Kreeg. I will do my best to send people your way.
The third album will be featuring artwork from Scott Stearns. The cover is fucking sick, cannibal corpse sick. Wait until you see it.
The new album will be the longest, best TWM to date. It will be finished by the end of the month. _______________________ Holy shit! You see that fucking head come apart man? I've never seen brains like that before man!

DIY releases do help keep the u/g alive and well for sure, as more and more underground labels focus in on "pro" cds these days. Less release tapes due to a influx in shipping rates which is understandable. The stock grows as the releases come out as I only trade SFM releases cause I don't know how to put a price on my releases ever since the HELLACAUST/TOXIC HOLOCAUST release ended up on ebay for gay prices. _______________________ SKULLFUCKINGMETAL DISTRO/LABEL. | Do you ever get the feeling that the only people who buy releases are the ones that are running distos/in bands themselves? Where have all the fans gone?
You'll find that if you stop the distro, you'll get people trying to order the week after eheh.

You'll find that if you stop the distro, you'll get people trying to order the week after eheh. NO KIDDING! I think its because of d/loading and lack of tape trading in general. I remember the days when I would trade always, and a fellow trader would slip in their bands demo with a cover in the trade and so on and so on, those days are kinda dead. Which is sad. Underground distros do need more support, I pretty much spend all my profits alone on snail mail flyers as I don't like spamming email wise. _______________________ SKULLFUCKINGMETAL DISTRO/LABEL. | I find it kinda lame that some who consider themselves so "trve", "kvlt" or "grim" can't even scrape together a couple bucks to buy a few demos to help support underground music/bands. They seemingly have no problems with layin' out $25 for a Carpathian Forest shirt from some record store but would balk at the concept of actually shelling out three stinkin' bucks for a Black Crucifixion or a Kill By Numbers demo. What kinda mindset is that? I guess lookin' the part is more important than actually giving a fuck? I can't even begin to count the number of cool bands that I got turned on through SFM...Some I ordered blind, some were sent as freebies in my order. The bottom line is that if it wasn't for underground distros like SFM, I'd be missing out on a lotta cool shit. I don't even consider myself a metalhead. I'm just a guy that likes different kinds of music and I make no apologies for it. I certainly hope SFM doesn't go tits up. Cheers!
