Holy fuck!! I've always checked the "gift" box on the customs sticker everytime i've shipped to Sweden I'm suprised that Canada post doesn't know about this!

I was playing with the idea of doing something like this myself, doing a series of tapes where underground bands pay tribute to the 80's Extreme Metal scene... But releasing it on CD-R?? Wtf??

Venom, Mercyful Fate, Hellhammer\Frost, Sodom, Bathory, Kreator, Destruction, stuff like that. I think compilations like that would be really cool. The only problem is to find bands who are interested.

A tribute to EXCITER or RAZOR would be very cool!! I have never heard of one before, us Canadian's are always left in the cold :sarcastic:

Yes a tribute to exciter and razor could be really killer.

I am interest with my little band ABFALL to play old Kreator ! ( A song from Endless pain eventually ! ) And I'm sure there are a lot of band will be interest for this project if they know that !

I released a Tribute to GODFLESH.
I planned to do an early VOIVOD Tribute, but most of the bands were too lazy to answer emails anymore... :irke:

Lazy bands suck. Can't understand why they are not interested in getting their material spread, and for free as well.

Unfortunately not. I 'only' did 1000 copies w/ pro covers...

The plans for the first compilation is VENOM. Thanks for the support, as always

There's already a VENOM compilation planned on another label, not sure if it is a good idea.
It would be better to choose another band, wouldn't it?

Yes it is surely going to happen: METAL RULEZ from Poland is working on it, and they already did other releases including a Tribute to CARCASS, so it will going to work...

You can do it either if you want, but I think it would be better for both of you, and for the listeners, if there wasn't 2 VENOM Tributes at the same time

What about a tribute to EXODUS or VIO-LENCE. ??

EXODUS would be nice!

For a VIO-LENCE Tribute, you could count on OPPRESSION (Swe- The real one!), but I'm not sure if many peoples really know the band...
