Thrash Metal = Trend

A developement that shows thrash is a trend again is a fact, major labels have been signing underground bands this past year.

Metal Blade- Fueled By Fire, Hatcher

Earache- sss, Municipal Waste, Gama Bomb

Century Media- Warbringer

NuclearBlast- Meltdown

Relapse- Dekapitator, Toxic Holocaust

I also find that "thrashers" send more money on buying patches for their demin to look "old school" rather then supporting true underground thrash bands.

You needn't worry too much, the main retro thrash movements at the moment seem to be in the UK and Los Angeles, but I know of a few of the UK bands are already bored of playing thrash and want to move on to something else! They didn't even last 1 year!

Gama Bomb are good live, and the first albums of Toxic Holocaust and Dekapitator were fine (didn't like the production on their last one though...), but beyond them, most of the others will end up in a bargin bin before they even get released.


Never can understand the ones that have these patch jackets. Most of them are in total pristine condition! Where are all the beer stains? The snot wipes? The holes and teeth marks?

of course a bit time ago, with the called "retro thrash" , this new guys turned this style in a trend...

and of course big labels, looking just for money labeled it, cos they know that could earn a lot of coins !!!

actually i think some are following this style just for trend, and of course, maybe after to get money...

a fucking desvirtuation of the underground... it is about feeling not money !!!
