Grind core?

What do you guys think of grindcore?

I find I have my moments with it, where I will go months without really listening to it, and then all of a sudden I start craving it!

Napalm Death, Existench, Mesrine, Brutal Truth, Unholy Grave, Carrion Crawler, Blood, F.A.T.O, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Mixomatosis etc

this term has so many meanings. NOISM and EVS are dubbed grindcore, and they rule. early ND and Carcass too of course, Cephalic Carnage are great...as for the other stuff...there's too many bands that sound alike too me

Would IMPETIGO be considered a grindcore band or a old school death metal band?

Old old old grinding death metal that wrote about scabby people, horror movies and gore. Their 1989 demo "Giallo" is a fuckin classick!

They always had crazy art work on their releases, kinda goofy but gory at the same time. :ator:

I only have a dubbed version of it. The original demo is pretty hard to find, but I believe it was re-released onto cd.

no, I thnik it's nothing like techno, althought I've never heard the extremest forms of techno. NOISM is operated by one guy on guitar and another on drum programming. there are no vocals nor bass but to me it's probably the most violent, yet musically coherent, band in the world. melodically totally nihilistic and inhumanly fast and weird.

I heard Relapse is about to release a compilation of their demos.

Starting to get into this genre more and more. I've seen local grinders Tard, Sinned, and Zuckuss over in Van just recently. I have been listening to more and more grind as well. Deathgrind, Porno Grind, Grind core, etc. etc. etc. the whole grind genre is pretty intense.

Carcass is great! But I can do without all the Carcass clone bands :sarcastic:
