BLACKMETAL PHILOSPHY #1

The essential problem with blackm3t4l is the same problems that religion has.

It's become institutionalized and standardized to fit one singular self defeating ideology that is often put forth as an elite truth to life.

This is proven by the retarded amount of homophobia whilst apparently supporting blasphemic acts against "religion."

Or an even more noticable one; Attempting to dictate what is art and what isn't whilst only being able to play 2 power chords and regurgitate a very poor understanding of a melodic minor scale.

It's the same problem for all music. Music that lacks atmosphere is nothing more than a cheap entertainment. People without a strong identity/ ideas for the music are usually unable to create this strong atmosphere.

I don't like Bathory's later work. I HATE Vikings. But as Quorthon was able to create a certain unique sound, I have to give him credit.

Same for Death *** BIIIIIIIIP!!! Forbidden word! ***. eg Autopsy create the darkest putrid sounds. Many other bands claim to be similarly obcessed by death, but are unable to create such a strong atmosphere for death. Mainly because they don't fully understand/obcessed by the concept, just trying to replicate the riffs.
