Displeased Records To Reissue Classic DISINCARNATE, GORGUTS, SACRIFICE, SADUS And TOXIK Catalog Titles



Displeased Records in Holland have announced details regarding the reissue of some long out-of-print classic death and thrash albums. The following CDs will be remastered, include bonus material, lyrics and biography: DISINCARNATE - Dreams Of The Carrion Kind (1993), SACRIFICE's Torment In Fire (1986)and Forward To Termination (1987), GORGUTS Considered Dead (1990) and Erosion Of Sanity (1993), TOXIK's World Circus (1988) and Think This (1989) and SADUS' Illusions (1988)/Chemical Exposure (1991), Swallowed In Black (1990) and Vision Of Misery (1992). All releases will be printed in limited first editions of 5000 copies. Represses will follow in a later stage. More info will follow when the individual release dates have been set. CDs will be released on a monthly basis, starting from September 28th, 2006.

sounds nice, but I hope the remasters are done professionnally. you just cannot ruin stuff like Considered Dead!!!

The PESTILENCE rerelease wasn't bad,
so I think those will be done correctly.

I just buy em all on lp if possible. Sometimes they cost me a arm and a leg but it's worth it.

But I won't pay $50 for a fuckin cd because is rare or oop on ebay. fuck that shit.

I have the rights worldwide, not only South America...

Besides I can guarantee Rob is more pissed off with this situation than anybody else....

Apparently Displeased Records is re-releasing albums without the bands consent, as they did the same with INFERNAL MAJESTY.

A legal representative for Canadian thrashers SACRIFICE and Brazil's Marquee Records — which recently re-released SACRIFICE's "Torment In Fire" and "Forward To Termination" as double CDs in limited-edition hand-numbered slipcases that contain massive booklets with liner notes, live pictures and personal comments from the band — has issued the following statement regarding the announcement by Displeased Records that they were going to re-releasing the group's catalog beginning sometime this fall:

"Regarding the recent events involving Displeased Records and their interest in releasing albums in which performances of the band SACRIFICE are featured, I would like to state that the band SACRIFICE did not authorize the release of any albums by the aforementioned record label.

"The band SACRIFICE has signed a licensing agreement with Marquee Records, and all proper legal measures in order to safeguard the rights granted on this contract will be taken."

As previously reported, SACRIFICE will reunite for the first time in 15 years for one night only as headliner of Day Of The Equinox II festival taking place on Saturday, September 23, 2006 in Toronto, Ontario at the Opera House.

The Canadian band's original lineup of guitarist/singer Rob Urbinati, guitarist Joe Rico, bassist Scott Watts and drummer Gus Pynn will be performing tracks from their classic metal releases: "Torment In Fire" (1986), "Forward To Termination" (1987) and "Soldiers of Misfortune" (1990).
