seriously, what do you guys think of it? As I dig old thrash I'd say this one's not THAT bad, but come on, how can they pretend this is fresh and not just plain 80s rehash??

It seems to be okey/ cool thrash metal... But did they really pretend they were fresh and original as fuck? Many current thrash bands only pretend to be old school...
I don't like the BONDED BY BLOOD monicker that much... I could create a band and call it AND JUSTICE FOR ALL, it wouldn't sound much cool huh?

their bio doesnt say they're very innovative, but fresh sounding. like you said it's not bad, but let's face it, it's a total 80s copycat who brings back all the cheese.

Well, when they say fresh I think they doesn't mean original, but fresh in the energy etc...

then it's ok.
I don't like their shredding riffs and drum sound, but when it's straight-forward thrash it's good enough. the vocals are...huh...old school?

Earache seem to be signing alot of them now. Municipal Waste, Evile, SSS, BBB, I'm sure there's another one (The Hauted don't count! They weren't thrash!). Probably on the back of the Art of Partying and Enter the Grave (into the grave?!?) selling VERY well in the UK.

They don't sound too bad.... but too much of the '88 US thrash really, that bouncy light happy day-glo shite.

funny how Nocturnal Breed, Inferno and Aura Noir came in for alot of criticism a few years back, now compared to this lot, they aren't that bad!

german style thrash was the trend at that time, now it's the US style. but they're all out of the same basket of copycats.

Not sure if you can call this thrash movement trendy yet... It remains quite confidential... There are a lot of demo bands, and some albums, but it's far from being that huge...

it's still bigger than it was 10 years ago. I was playing in a sort of retro thrash band then...who knows we could have worked something out if the "movement" had been what it is today. our songs weren't better nor worse than what I hear these days

Maybe, but if you recorded a demo with a 4 tracker or an average Pc sound, the only deal you'd find is a tape label to release 250 DIY tapes

There's no use to cheat in the underground... Unless you have a loooooot of luck...

no, we had a couple of 8 tracks demos, which wasn't all that bad for the time (home studios were still very expensive then).

fact is some of the other "extreme" garage bands looked down upon us 'cause we weren't br00tal enough. blah.

It still is, lacks a decent underground, theres nothing beyond the Terrorizer/ Plastic Head monopoly...... But there have been Thrash features in the very trendy Kerrang and NME mags (not that I've read them.... of course not.... Bleeegh! ), and Evile have managed to land the album into the national charts and getting radio play as well......

Seems that Earache have just signed Gamma Bomb as well. They're not so bad, as long as they stop singing about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

to me it seemed like the underground was "represented" in the UK by bands like Ackercoke (virtually unknown in the rest of the world). Kerrang is just as lame as French magazines I guess if not worse.
